South Africa’s Dricus “Stillknocks” Du Plessis has officially broken his silence following a difficult night in Chicago.
After losing his UFC middleweight championship to Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 319, Du Plessis has issued a bold promise to his fans: he will get his belt back.

His coach, Morne Visser, echoed these sentiments but added a layer of tactical reality. Visser noted that while an immediate rematch is the ultimate goal, the team will first focus on a “Russian-style wrestling” overhaul to ensure the same mistakes aren’t repeated.
While some fans are calling for an immediate Du Plessis vs. Chimaev 2, the middleweight division is currently moving fast.
With Chimaev sidelined briefly for a foot injury, the path back to the gold for “Stillknocks” might involve one more high-stakes contender match.
Despite the loss at UFC 319, Du Plessis remains one of the most dangerous fighters at 185 pounds.
